Troy Nursing Services

Troy CCSD 30-C provides the services of nine (9) registered nurses who assume the title of Medical Aide and perform duties as determined by the administration. If your child needs to take medicine during the course of the school day, please download, print, and send the Administering Medication Form to school with your child. Additional information is provided for your convenience.

My Child Is Sick!

Parents may be required to provide a physician’s note before a child returns to school if absences exceed three (3) consecutive days due to illness.

This section includes information on Contagious Illinesses, Homebound & Hospital Illinesses, and Student Blood Incidents.

Troy CCSD 30-C Wellness Policy

ADOPTED:   June 28, 2006

Student wellness, including good nutrition and physical activity, shall be promoted in the District’s education program, school activities, and meal programs.  This policy shall be interpreted consistently with Section 204 of the Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004.

Physical Exams and Immunizations

Parents are required to provide proof of a physical examiniation by a medical doctor.

Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect

Section 4 of The Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act states "Any...school personnel...having reasonable cause to believe a child known to them in their professional capacity may be an abused child or a neglected child shall immediately report or cause a report to be made to the Department..., they shall notify the person in charge...that such report has been made."  The report shall be made immediately by calling 1-800-252-2873.  This number is the Child Abuse Hotline that has been established by the Department of Children and Family Services for the reporting of child abuse/neglect situations.
